We believe that small businesses drive our economy. To be successful in business, we realize that we must strategically align ourselves with capable small firms that have a similar philosophy and work ethic. Much of our success can be traced back to the mentorship that has been afforded to us by larger, more experienced firms. As a way of giving back to the business community that invested in BRADY, we formed our own Small Business Support program. Our program has several important features:

We form formal and informal Mentor-Protégé arrangements with qualified small businesses for the purposes of assisting their growth, building their core competencies and increasing their knowledge of the market place.

We are continually seeking qualified firms to team on proposal opportunities and to fulfill the small business requirements on contracts we have already won.

We maintain a database of qualified suppliers and subcontractors to support our various projects. We give preference to small businesses in selecting our project teams.

Advice

We do our best to assist small firms that are in need of advice, regardless of their involvement in our Small Business Support program.

* Our program is limited to legitimate small businesses as defined by the Small Business Administration. Companies must also have legitimate core competencies and the ability to self-perform within their area of expertise. They must also be financially stable with a demonstrated track record of client commitment. We also conduct interviews with applicants to assure that they are aligned with our corporate culture.

PARTNERING

We are proud of our many successes in teaming with partner firms, both large and small, for a variety of tactical and strategic opportunities. We are experienced with an assortment of partnering relationships, including teaming arrangements, subcontractor agreements and joint venture partnerships. Although we are successful in winning proposals as a prime, we pride ourselves in helping other firms to succeed as well. The fact is, there are far greater opportunities for us as a teaming partner than as a prime. We believe there are several reasons for our partnering successes:
