(BRADY) is a San Diego-based leading water/wastewater engineering and construction management firm providing professional services to some of the most complex and critical water infrastructure projects for Southern California’s significant public and private sector clients, including Metropolitan Water District, San Diego County Water Authority, and many more.

 Job brief

The San Diego office of BRADY is looking to hire a mid-level civil/structural engineer to work on a variety of water and power projects.

Civil / Structural Engineer Job Duties

Job duties include managing engineering projects and supervising other team members on the projects, conducting engineering analysis and design, and report writing.  Some field work will be required, so must be present on construction sites. Must have thorough understanding of engineering codes and local regulations, and be able to work independently to drive the project from beginning to end.  Ability to communicate and work with clients to meet their needs and priorities is required.


  • California PE registration
  • Positive approach and attitude with a desire to problem-solve
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Excellent writing skills

Desired 7-10 years experience but willing to consider less for depending upon overall qualifications and experience. Experience working with municipalities or power provider is a plus.

Additional Details

The position is full-time, exempt and based in the City of San Diego, CA.  Some overtime is anticipated to meet project needs and client deadlines.
